About Us

I have been a Registered Nurse for 10 years and have always specialized in Postpartum and NICU care. My personal experience though, is a story of itself. My husband and I struggled with infertility and we were told it would be a challenge for us to get pregnant. Two and a half years later we were pregnant! With QUADRUPLETS! Trust me, we experienced the same excitement, stress, and confusion you probably feel now. Our sweet babies were born at 31 weeks and spent 6 weeks in the NICU. Our story doesn't stop there though-  surprise! We were able to get pregnant on our own and had 2 more healthy, singleton pregnancies. That is a grand total of 6 kids! As a mom, I have had a multiples pregnancy and 2 singleton pregnancies. I have had preemie babies and full term babies. I have had a c-section delivery and 2 VBAC deliveries. And with raising 6 children, I am experiencing something new every day!

There were not a lot of resources on how to prepare for multiples when I was pregnant with quadruplets. I read books, websites, and met some other moms of multiples. I felt other moms of multiples were my best source of information, but they were not coming from a medical background. In fact, as a Postpartum/NICU nurse at the time of my pregnancy, I knew some of the advice I was hearing was in direct conflict with AAP guidelines (American Academy of Pediatrics). I wanted the best for my babies, and I also wanted to keep them safe.

Years later, there still are not  many resources for parents expecting twins, triplets and quadruplets. I hear the same questions over and over from expecting parents,  "How do we feed them? Can they sleep in the same room? What should we register for? How do I make this work?  WILL WE EVER SLEEP AGAIN?!"
